I did not notice anything particular in this respect: it should work
mostly as before.

One note concerning OpenJDK: there are many versions (too many), and I
have converged to use exclusively https://adoptopenjdk.net (bundled with
the application).

Java 11 tries to support GTK 3, but it does not quite work. There were
even some recent announcements saying one should switch back to GTK 2.2.
