Category: installer Group: severe bug Status: Closed Resolution: Invalid Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Heklaz (jnp1234) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: jedit5.0.0install.dmg damaged Initial Comment: The MacOSX installer disk image appears to be damaged. System is updated to Oracle jvm. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Matthieu Casanova (kpouer) Date: 2012-11-27 11:25 Message: Yes I'm not sure about how we can fix that I'm not an expert at dmg packaging. But at least we should add a hint because the message is not very clear, and you are not the first user that has the problem (and you are not the last) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Heklaz (jnp1234) Date: 2012-11-27 10:59 Message: Thanks for the comments! Had forgotten about the security settings, seems like the java app bundle obscures the real error a bit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matthieu Casanova (kpouer) Date: 2012-11-27 09:38 Message: Could be both, but I know that if the security settings on Mountain Lion was not changed it prevent installing non signed applications and says that the dmg is damaged. But if the security settings are modified to allow that, it should work, I tried the dmg yesterday. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Steve Jakob (sjakob) Date: 2012-11-27 09:30 Message: FYI, I had no problems installing and running 5.0.0 on OSX Lion (10.7.5) from the disk image. Could be a security issue as suggested, or a corrupted download. You might also consider downloading from a specific mirror. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matthieu Casanova (kpouer) Date: 2012-11-27 08:56 Message: If you use Mountain Lion, did you activate third party applications in security settings or right click on it to open it ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=3590397&group_id=588 |
