Initial Comment:
Xinsert is loaded at statup of jedit and the Plugins menu has the expected menuitem "xinsert". But clicking this item results in nothing. So xinsert's window never appear...

The activity.log contains at least two lines relating xinsert:
[debug] EditBus: PluginUpdate[what=LOADED,exit=false,source=C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\sc\.jedit\jars\XInsert.jar,class=XInsertPlugin]
[warning] EditAction$Wrapper: Unknown action: XInsert

XInsert 2.0 is not the most current version of XInsert.  There is a
version 2.2 in the subversion repository.  When built, that version works
correctly with the latest development version of jEdit.  I suppose that the
plugin maintainer can shed a little more light as to why this was not
submitted to plugin central...
