Bugs item #636674, was opened at 2002-11-11 11:53 You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=636674&group_id=588 Category: virtual file systems Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Duplicate Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: cannot open VAX/VMS files via FTP Initial Comment: When using the file system browser, I can connect to a VAX endpoint using FTP. I also get a list of files without any problem. However, I cannot open anything in the list. I am given an unknown host exception - judging from the host given with the message, jedit appears to be erroneously concatenating the host name and the default directory on that host. I am attaching a screen shot of the error dialog box. I can be reached at ic...@ya... for clarification. Among other things, I am a Java guy, so no need to hold back the details. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Slava Pestov (spestov) Date: 2002-12-30 22:33 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2280 Already entered under a different bug. Will be fixed soon ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ludovic ANCIAUX (lanciaux) Date: 2002-11-13 01:54 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=553103 I have done a modified version of FTP plugin - which is working a bit better on VMS/VAX without sacrifying Win/Unix support. This is still a bit of hack but it prooved to work (read / save) more or less. But it doesn't delete [yet] neither handle multiple versions of files because of those (xxx.yyy;n). FTP initial implementation by Slava was mainly UNIX based. He told me he would like to implement sftp plugin but I don't know if sftp is handled by every VMS implementation and when it will be available. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=636674&group_id=588 |
