Hi everybody,
IPsec-tools 0.3 is finally released. This version is now considered
"stable" - it should be safe to upgrade from your older 0.2.x
installations and deploy 0.3 on your systems. Those of you who followed
the 0.3rc development already know what are the most important changes in
this release since 0.2.x:
o Added NAT-Traversal support to racoon.
o Added readline support to setkey.
o Fixed security bug in handling X.509 certs.
o Fixed many smaller bugs, cleaned up the code a little, ...
Changes since 0.3c5:
o Fixed setkey to handle multiline commands again.
o Added command 'exit' to setkey.
o Fixed racoon to only Warn if no CRL was found.
o Improved testsuite.
Please note that the 0.2 branch will slowly be phased out - unless a
really critical security bug is found in that branch it's very unlikely
that a new 0.2.x release will be made.
IPsec-tools 0.3 branch is now the maintained codebase for future
stable versions. There will probably be some more 0.3.x releases in the
future as soon as new bugs are fixed or small improvements added.
Main development will continue in the CVS HEAD, possibly with some
snapshots given out for your evaluation. This is what should once become
ipsec-tools 0.4.
