Initial Comment:
Hey,

ipcop is using snort 2.6 which is no longer supported for Snort rules (aside from emerging threats of course ;p). 

There has been about 4 VRT rules updates since snort 2.6 became unsupported for VRT rule updates earlier this month. 

I would suggest a rule update to 2.8.X to limit having to update the engine anytime soon, provide new features and so on.
