Instead of the current Highlighting of the packages to
apply a command to (eg: binary install, src install,
src fetch, src build, remove, etc), could there instead
be a checkbox which you click on to tick, so that if
you do a search for a package, you could then tick that
package, then enter another search, tick that box, etc,
and then apply a command to all those packages you have
selected? Currently I find that it will deselect any
highlighted packages when I do a new search, and so in
order to select multiple packages of differing names, I
must scroll down through the entire package listing to
highlight the different names. A checkbox would make
this much simpler... :)
thanks! :)

I would prefer to install them as I select them. A better solution IMO would be a queue of packages to install. Packages could be added to the queue by the commands or drag+drop.
I agree that the current interface is cumbersome. Being able to get to the popup window without two mouse buttons would help a little.
