We are now finally closing down our sourceforge bug, patch and feature request trackers.
We have migrated our bug and FR tracking to http://crawl.develz.org/mantis/ - please sign up there to contribute! In addition to the Mantis tracker, we also are using a wiki.
Mailing list and git repository are still located on SourceForge.

Well, I really should have announced this ages ago (the blog became lively in November, though it started earlier) but I had some trouble finding the News section on SourceForge :p and never got around to announcing it. Anyway, Dungeon Crawl Stonesoup proudly presents a weblog (http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/) featuring posts announcing the latest development state as well as some more in-depth articles discussing various implementation details and new gameplay effects.... read more

Hi everyone,
out of a whim we started a poll on the IRC channel ##crawl. Lots of

7. Where did you learn about Crawl?

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup has been voted "Roguelike of the Year" by the readers of ASCII Dreams. Read the article here: http://roguelikedeveloper.blogspot.com/2009/01/winner-of-ascii-dreams-roguelike-of.html
I didn't even know of such a vote, so I was positively floored when I read the results. Thanks! :D
Finally, after months of waiting, the bug fixes already long patched into CAO and CDO have made it into an official version that you can now find in the Download section.

It's been a while since the last release, but the team, albeit also busy elsewhere, is working diligently towards the next version.
There's a lot more we plan to be adding and 0.5 is still off in the distance, but in case you'd like to know what's happening I've updated the change log to reflect what's been changed so far.

Today, midnight, the first Crawl (Stone Soup) Tournament has begun. It will continue until August 31 just before midnight.
All you have to do to join, is registering an account on http://crawl.akrasiac.org (CAO) or http://crawl.develz.org (CDO), both reachable via ssh. You can then use this account to play Crawl online and collect points in various categories.
For more information, see here: http://crawl.akrasiac.org/tourney/index.html
This release fixes a nasty bug that pretty much caused the Tile version to be useless (mouse clicks had no effect). We apologize for the inconvenience.

Here's another bugfix release, just in time for the Tournament (again, see http://crawl.akrasiac.org/tourney/index.html\).

Over the whole of August, the first tournament for Dungoen Crawl Stone Soup will be hosted on http://www.akrasiac.org (CAO) and http://crawl.develz.org (CDO). Players can get points for winning, of course, but there will also be many other categories that don't involve the Orb of Zot. You can also form "clans" and take part as a team.
For more info, see http://crawl.akrasiac.org/tourney/index.html
