Thank you for your interest in CoolingPower!
Motivated by the desire to utilize an updated Mollier diagram (those printed with the ASME Steam Tables were produced in 1940), I embarked on this project. As the idea simmered, it has since expanded to include T-s and P-v diagram plotting, thermodynamic cycle plotting, and Steam Table printing utilizing several measurement systems (SI, FPS, CGS, etc.).
Recently, the first minimaly functioning version with a user interfaced was released for testing. The build is linked against the GNU Scientific Library (GSL) derivative functions, the Boost Program Options library, and Qt 5.11. This version uses command line options provided at the beginning of execution to output steam tables to the terminal or to an output file. This functionality will likely remain even after the GUI is developed. See the Program Usage page (coming soon) for further instructions.
CoolingPower is still in its infancy, but the engine at its heart is progressing nicely. Check back for advancements in the near future. I'm always open to feedback for user experience. I'm also seeking assistance in automating the compiling of Qt 5 applications. You can contact me directly via email through my username above.
Stay cool!
