Cancerbero 0.6 released - Major release

Cancerbero 0.6 has been released with new and useful features. The most important are:

- New alerts system with mail notification.
- Plugins support to extend alerts.
- Owner system (of hosts, ranges or sensors).
- New and easy install process.
- Complete control from GUI.

A lot of improves and fixes has been done.

As in older versions, we are very interested in your opinion/suggestions about Cancerbero. The Forums is the appropriate place to do it and share your feeling with other Cancerbero users.... read more

Cancerbero 0.6-RC1 - Major release

Cancerbero 0.6-RC1 has been liberated. This version comes with some very interesting features:

- Alerts on detection changes are generated.
- Owners of host, ranges or sensors can be defined.
- Owners can be emailed with all or only selected alerts.
- Lots of more things. Have a look to the changelog.

This is a Release Candidate version, so unless fatal bugs emerge, expect no feature changes with final 0.6 version.... read more

Cancerbero 0.5.2 - BugFix release

This release resolve the BUG1616794 witch breaks cancerbero, upgrade is highly recommended.

Other bugfixes and features has been included in this release. If you are interested have a look to the changelog.

Cancerbero 0.5.1 - BugFix release

This release was mainly to resolve the BUG1601258 and allow to RehHat/Fedora users to run cancerbero without problems. Check the FAQ for more info in http://cancerbero.sf.net.

Version 0.5.1 adds native daemon support to the sensor.

Cancerbero 0.5 - Major release

Cancerbero 0.5 has been suppose a rethinking of the entire project. A lot things has change and lot of work has been done. Check the notes for a detailed list of changes.

New web project design

Cancerbero's Web Project has a new design. The new web is wiki based so it will be easy/quick for us to update the info related to Cancerbero develop. A lot of changes are coming, so be tuned.

Cancerbero 0.4.1 - fix release.

Cancerbero (the watchdog of the ports) is a portscan engine based in nmap. It will scan the hosts of a defined net once in every configured interval and it will store the results in a mysql database. It comes with a Web interface to access the scan info.

In this release some bugs have been solved but there is not new features.

Cancerbero 0.4 - 1st public release

Hello everybody!

We are glad to announce the first public version of Cancerbero. It’s still Beta software but is stable enough as we have been using it for more than three months without problems. We would like to know your opinion about utility, usability and in general any feedback.

Debian installation is recommended and manual installation is possible (but not well tested). Deb packages and tar.gz files are ready to download in the files section.... read more
