I made the right view full screen, drew a poly, then
went back to 4 views, and tryng to toggle the persp
view back to full screen seems to insist on making the
right view fullscreen.
I've seen comparable (but not reproducable) issues with the
Linux version and agree with David that checking for the
viewport under the mouse would probably be a better idea as
it might solve all of these issues.

So it simply wasn't possible to ever switch to a fullscreen
view of anything?
Or was it that the viewport that was under the mouse cursor
didn't automgically get picked as the one to maximise?

No matter which viewport was active, it would always swap
to the right view when it was fullscreen. I haven't been able
to reproduce it tho.
Also it never checks what viewport is under the mouse, it
only maximises the 'active' viewport. the one under the
mouse would be better I reackon.

Fixed so the view made fullscreen is the one last moved over
with by the mouse.
