ANDReA is a LAMP-based system for registration of network clients using DHCP. Splitting the network into "boot-net" for unregistered users and a "real-net" for registered users makes it possible to gather information about users in the network. this release fixes a bug under suse 9.3 - the dns server did not start correct.
New features in this release:
- installation is much easier
- codes are generated automatically during installation procedure
- script newlan.sh added: this script allows you to prepare ANDReA for the next LAN
Bug Fix:
- fixed bug when entering the server name, in worst case this stopped the DHCP server process.
the new release of ANDReA provides an included firewall system and a graphical overview of the network. the installation routine was built from scratch and many bugs have been fixed.

the web-interface and installation program was translated into english. the bugs in the login procedure were fixed and new handy features like wake on lan have been implemented.
andrea is now available in english too - choose between german and english during installation.
we fixed the rpm packages
now andrea install's without problems and virtual network is configured automatically!
the german dokumentation (http://andrea.grufo.com) has been updated because with the new RPM it will be a little bit easier to install :-)
today i build two new RPM packages for ANDReA 0.0.5!
one for SuSE 8.2
and another one for SuSE 9.0
i hope it solve all installation problems with those two SuSE versions.
today we uploaded version 0.0.5 of ANDReA as a rpm package for easy installation!
After installation ANDReA moved into /opt/andrea so everything is in one directory.

we added new features to ANDReA:

- last time online
- possibility to delte host
- refresh link after lease gets updated
- modify default lease time
- dns forwarding
- free definition of subnet classes
a small dokumentation is also included.
i installed a first beta on my suse 8.2 professional and it worked great :-)
client computer started with dhcp enabled, coult reach website on 172.10.0.1 - after registration the ip-address switched to his new one (10.*.*.*).
at the same time the dns and dhcp server were informed about the new client and reverse-lookup table was generated.
