Hi Ray,
The error message indicates that the MATLAB runtime library cannot be found.
Just to verify: you've installed both AEO-Light and the MATLAB runtime libraries (version 8.1), is that right?
If so, then it must be in a place where AEO-Light cannot find it. Can you verify the directory the MATLAB runtime was installed? And if you open that directory in the file browser, is that DLL there (and readable)?
error message in output folder when a\when i selected details,
"tmpvideo.mov permission denied"

Hi Scott, thanks for getting back to me. It was indeed in the wrong
folder. Everything went fine and extracted audio for 16mm perfectly.
today, when i ran another reel, everything went fine, but when i tried to
export the video it says, "ffmpeg did not run sucessfully"
i ran cmd, and it shows everything is fine with ffmpeg, so i really don't
know what to do, looking forward to your response.
Ray

"permission denied" usually means the folder into which ffmpeg is attempting to write the movie file is not writable: either because it's on a read-only disc (the frame-source disc being mounted read-only, for instance, and the output targetting the same folder) or because it's in a priviledged folder (system folder, etc.), which sometimes happens when AEO-Light is installed with the other system applications and output is directed there.
Scott, thank you for getting back to me so quickly, it works it seems that
Windows 10 reset access to folders every time the computer starts, I just
don't know why that should be the case unless it must be a bug.
I just scanned another real, and when I'm trying to locate the soundtrack
it gives me this error message, please advise meaning. Picture attached.
Thanks again.

Ah, that error message is a bit more straightforward: AEO-Light can't read the source scan. It gave up after 11 seconds of trying to read the first frame. This could mean the input file is corrupt or in a format/encoding that isn't recognized.
