My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and currently she uses OneNote in school/home to scan her school work right into her tablet PC. I can't seem to find a similar feature in Xournal. As our laptops at home are aging, I'm moving them over to Ubuntu and Xournal would be a great application to migrate her to. Thanks.

I'm afraid that's not a feature yet... xournal's preferred support to work on is a PDF file. Does your scanner have an easy way of just scanning a document to a PDF file? (otherwise, I haven't tried it but I've heard good things about gscan2pdf, http://gscan2pdf.sourceforge.net/\). Combining the two pieces of software together to maximize ease of use is not such an easy project though...

Hi - I use Simple Scan
    https://launchpad.net/simple-scan
This is pretty easy to scan multiple pages in to a single PDF (which you can then open in Xournal)
