Studying a chain of coupled oscillators with or without periodic boundary conditions, as a model for (acoustic) phonons in one dimension. For not too large number of particles in the chain, we strive to compare the results from WavePacket versus those from WaveTrain.

Perhaps also vibrationally excited states of the trimer? Because the 3D surface plots of some of those states look really cool ...
