no experience with Arch or its packaging.

 AFAIU from looking at the source, when you run vuurmuur normally, it
 enables ip_forward when ipv4 forwarding rules are present, and ip6_forward
 when ipv6 rules are present. However, when running with --bash, this piece
 of code runs:

 Since this shares a single forward_rules flag for both ipv4 and ipv6, this

 Both screenshots are unrelated to traffic shaping. The first one 'traffic
 volume' should show the volume, see [[IPTrafVol]]

 The second screenshot gives errors when showing connection counts. This is
 based on conntrack. There are also quite a few errors related to this in
 your logs:

 08/16/2014 16:19:22 : PID 13907 : vuurmuur      : Error (-1): no
 connection tracking support in the kernel (in: check_iptcaps:402).

 This conntrack stuff is important to fix btw.

 Im using the SVN version of vuurmuur via the repository on ubuntu 14.04.
 "tc qdisk show" works and no errors are displayed in vuurmuur_conf. The
 bandwidth shaping does not work some infos in status just show "error".
 Traffic Volume only showes "error"s.

 * package signing will happen "automagically" during the build process
 when the user running the build has a pgp key in ~/.gnupg directory
 matching the email address in the latest changelog entry.
 * Repository signing involves running 'apt-ftparchive release . > Release'
 in /path/to/repo/dists/wheezy and 'gpg -abs -o Release.gpg Release' with
 the very same key.
 * The key itself needs to be available only (web page, key server, debian
 package, ...)

 So, the next steps are:
 * create a pgp key (either for vi...@vu... or
 vuu...@vu... or even for more people acting as release masters)
 * copy the key to the build servers and
 * do a new release (like 0.8-rc2)

 Hi, your firewall front end looks very promising, unfortunately, it
 wouldn't install correctly. Here is the result when invoking the
 installation.

 I use vuurmuur since many years, thank for this good software.

 I was installing vuurmuur on a fresh debian 7.3 server (wheezy) and I
 decided to give a try to 0.8rc1

 I can say that BOUNCE action does not work
 I can see the action on the logview but the destination server will not
 receive the tcp packet

 I can tried also with 0.8rc1 from svn repo (changing from alpha to svn in
 sources.list) and the problem still occurs

 I'm available for further test if you need
