The Vis5d+ web page says that the stereo/NCAR version was
merged as of Vis5d+ version 1.2.0.

Note also that Cave5D, currently maintained and developed
by ANL, is a version of Vis5D adapted to the EVL CAVE and
ImmersaDesk by Brian Paul and myself in 1994. It of course
supports stereo.

I think the first step is to determine if either Vis5d+
or Cave5D can already meet your needs.
