I have been playing around with the geographical-outline databases that we use here at NCAR and have extended my map database editor to enable writing map files for Vis5D. In particular, I have created two map files; the first contains international boundaries (not totally up-to-date and not very high resolution, but not too bad), plus state and provincial boundaries in Canada, the US, and Mexico; the second contains all that and, in addition, county boundaries for the US. As far as I know, we (NCAR) would be glad to contribute this to the Vis5D community. How do I go about that? (I looked at "http://vis5d.sf.net" and it wasn't clear to me how to proceed.) Thanks, Dave Kennison |
