I tried to visualise SCHL.v5d with Vis5d+ or VIs5d-5.2 on Linux and it seems to allocate about 90 MB of memory, however it crashes (gdb says in gridPRIME_to_grid) as soon as I try to visualise anything, maybe it's a problem due to the small geographical area covered by the dataset, or it's just a too old data file, I think somebody else knows the answer. Anyway I use Vis5d regularly and successfully with many other files, but on areas larger than storm scale in which you may be interested; did you try the other example LAMPS.v5d? it requires about the same amount of memory, you may be luckier with it. ciao, Davide On Sat, 4 Aug 2001 kd...@me... wrote: > I am using Vis5d (trying to use) for Linux.
