#79 Better file joining / merging story
- The "Append video segment" dialog only allows single selection or multiple selection via "Linked segments" (which is greyed out for me) and "Sequence" which mandates the file names to be in a specific (incrementing) pattern, It would be far more convenient to allow multiple selection as many times on edoes not control the file names (in my case, dash cam videos).
- Dragging multiple files to an empty VDFM window should have the same result as dragging one file and then appending all the rest. This is what 99% of the users would expect IMHO.
As for sorting, I suggest alphabetically.

Thanks! Say, I noticed that when I append multiple mp4 files and then do File->Export->Stream Copy I end up with an mp4 containing the contents of the first file only... what am I missing? (I'm basically trying to merge multiple mp4s into one)
Doesn't work that way. https://sourceforge.net/p/vdfiltermod/wiki/direct_copy/
For such task better try another program.

So I guess this dragging multiple files is not very interesting if you cannot direct-copy the result? :)
Not to me, but it sounds it could be useful for talented folks who actually do proper editing and re-encoding :)
