Scandy Pro

Pros: The tool has the ability to create 3D content in real time, avoiding having to take hundreds of photos to then make a coupling process, with Scandy Pro we do not have this problem which allows us to create a much more exciting user experience.

Cons: One of the big disadvantages of this APP lies in not having cloud storage, an extremely important tool for everyone today, with the rest of functions we are doing quite well, but they must provide cloud service as they are a paid service.

Overall: Scandy Pro is undoubtedly the best app for creating 3D multimedia content, fast, light, intuitive and effective. It has a number of tools that help professionals and amateurs to perform their shooting in a simple way, with a capacity that leaves me very comfortable.

Pros: Scandy Pro has many advantages and one of them is the easy way to make the scan and share it, you also don't need to have a device of the year, you can even use it on an iPad 2019 and it will work without any problem. We also like that all the projects we do are kept private.

Cons: With the app we only have one problem and this is that if we delete a file we won't be able to recover it later as Scandy Pro doesn't store in the cloud or make backups, it's a feature we certainly wish they would add in future updates.

Overall: We are very happy to use the app, its interface is easy to handle and we can easily understand it, save our projects and share them, although Scandy Pro has only a few years on the market it has managed to deliver everything it promises with an affordable cost, it is an app that we recommend.

Pros: From the first try the results of Scandy Pro are accurate and very direct, especially if we take the time to scan the object well because it takes a very perfect shot of it. In terms of editing and filters it has the best options and its mobile application is very practical, which makes it very intuitive when handling it.

Cons: They should offer some kind of mirror that comes in a physical purchase package to be able to adapt it to the device we are using with Scandy pro as this would facilitate the scanning process if done from a front camera. Sometimes also the learning curve needs to be checked thoroughly as you have to have trial/error to get the desired results due to its low learning curve with the same curve.

Overall: In summary, Scandy Pro is an excellent 3D scanning tool for new designs and image shapes. It has served us well in our company to manage the design of piping and have a common idea of the final work we want to bring to the process. The digital images before the print itself are perfect and manageable.

Pros: High resolution, faster and more reliable scanning with features that anyone could ever want from a mobile 3D scanner.

Cons: I really like Scandy Pro so far with no experience of downtimes

Overall: They have really provided a lot of updates since its early version that come in with new features every time simplifying 3D scanning process on mobile.

Pros: The ONLY software I could figure out to scan my face and create mini meeples of myself for game boards. It's fast, easy, and works really well.

Cons: The UI can be a little sleeker. Versions are confusing between this and stl maker app.

Overall: Very positive. Easy to use. Got something scanned in less than 2 minutes and started modeling right after!

Pros: It’s interface and how easy it is to use. I love the functions it has to edit your scan. You can affect the lighting and the colors, you can add a green screen. Scanning is made really simple. I use it to create digital animations to go along with the music I write.

Cons: Nothing really :). I only wish the front-facing camera was allowed to scan images, but that is a shortcoming of the iPhone, not the app.

Overall: It’s a great app. I use it frequently. It is a tool that I use in conjunction with other software.

Pros: The results can be very accurate and aesthetically beautiful if you take your time during the scanning process. The in-app editing features are handy and intuitive.

Cons: There’s a learning curve and it takes some practice to get perfect scans with the forward facing camera. They offer a mirror that you can clip onto your phone that makes this process easier.

Overall: I was an artist in residence with Scandy and had a great time exploring the app and applying it to my work. It’s a useful tool for new ways of digital imaging.
