This creative energy was always looking for a new challenge and this is where the idea of FlipaClip came from. All they needed was a little spark to get started. Samsung was having a contest to promote the new Galaxy Note. The brothers came together to make something they would have wanted growing up. They sketched it up and built the first version in one month! As people started to use the app they loved how simple it was and the community started to grow. What they didn’t anticipate was how the community would grow. Creatives and Influencers from all over the globe have used FlipaClip to draw, animate, and share something unique. The community has given all kinds of people from amateurs to professionals a place to create and share their ideas. Did you know that the jumping squirrel that’s used as a default animation was made by an off duty police officer? This just goes to show that anyone can make something special, it’s not just pro’s.

    "Fun for an intro on how to animate"

    Pros: I used FlipaClip to start small animations of things my fiance said and I thought were funny. I knew nothing about animating, but I really did like learning pretty quickly how to make small short animations. Very intuitive and straight forward.

    Cons: Sometimes it is hard to go back and edit previous clips. But it isn't too hard once you get it down.

    Overall: I really like this program as a beginner/intro to animation. It was really nice to be able to see everything come together at the end.

    "Excellent animation tool for mobile"

    Pros: Lots of options for free users. Allows for animation from very simple to more complex. Can add your own audio and video to the animations.

    Cons: Heavy push to purchase premium features. Purchasing all the premium features does not include any premium audio packages, which will still run you another $8.

    Overall: For someone who does not know animation, this is an undaunting first step to take. Without handholding it introduces you to what simple animating starts with.
