Overall: E3 excels in meeting the diverse intelligence and digital evidence requirements of my cases. Pros: Excellent ability to process mobile phones as well as many IoT devices that are finding their way into more and more cases. Unique OSINT capabilities. Ease of Set-up and Use. Excellent customer support.

Cons: While there is a bit of a learning curve when starting out, the comprehensive training tools and resources, along with the exceptional customer support, make the learning period relatively short and manageable.

Overall: E3 stands out in my diverse cases involving intelligence and digital evidence requirements. Pros: I have been using Paraben since 2017 and have always had great success with this product. Any time I have had a question in regards to anything Paraben related or DFIR related I have received nothing but the best support from these folks. The E3 tool along with it's releases keep the tool up to date with the devices and applications we work with.

Cons: We have no Cons about the Paraben tools, we are very happy with the application.

Overall: Overall we have been very pleased with both the application and the team at Paraben and will continue to use the Paraben products as we continue to grow our company.

Pros: E3 allows our team to quickly ascertain and analyze our organizations email accounts for potential PII/PHI data that is contained a users 0365 account.
The searching and rule sets are effective and can be quickly input/developed.
The speed of the application makes light work of gigantic email accounts.
Exporting reports and data allows us to collaborate with legal counsel and other DFIR vendors.

Cons: The reporting tool could use more specifically designed template options.

Overall: Paraben Universal E3 makes light work of 0365 platform analysis with so many options to import multiple types of data for filtering and review.

Pros: Exceptional and powerful piece of software that makes my job easier. When I don’t understand something I can either find the info in the manual or call Kevin and get the answers I need.

Cons: I haven’t come across any negative aspects associated with the E3 software.

Overall: Overall I’m very happy with the E3 software. Kevin always takes the time to ensure I understand what I’m having problems with and is a wealth of knowledge about the software and special features.

Pros: There are many reasons to like and support this product, but I am only able to list a few of them here:

The product is really comprised of several different tools, which can be purchased individually if you only need one. The PC tool can be purchased separately to investigate computers; the email examiner tool can be used to process emails; and the mobile device tool can be used for cell phones. Each tool and the complete package (E3 Universal) are reasonably priced compared to others on the market.

I began using Paraben tools over 15 years ago. At the time, I used only the Network Email Examiner tool, which is fantastic for processing emails for e-discovery. it can easily ingest, index, and search a wide variety of email formats and convert or export the results to commonly supported types, such as PST. This tool is also much more cost-effective than other email forensic tools out there.

The product has support for a variety of image types - everything from phones to IOT devices to traditional computer images. The ability to ingest a variety of images is the main reason I use this tool over all others. There is no other tool I know of which supports such a variety of images. There are other tools that have their strengths, but for the variety of devices that this software tool supports, there is no better all-in-one option!

With the latest release, there are now timelines. The tool quickly parses log files, registry entries, pre-fetch entries, and other artifacts to create timelines. The timelines are a fantastic way to quickly determine what the user or an attacker may have been doing without having to review and assemble the information by hand.

Finally, the support is second to none! I can get an answer or help on an issue I may be having with an email or a phone call. I really appreciate the support because it makes me feel as if I am not having to go-it-alone. Their support has always been there when I needed it!

Cons: The interface is all contained within one main window. There are several task panes that can be opened and closed to allow the user to view more of a single task pane. With the common use of dual monitors now, it would be nice to be able to tear off/detach a task pane to view it alone on one monitor. Trying to view the evidence tree, search pane, task pane, properties pane, etc., all in one window sometimes makes viewing difficult.

Overall: There is no better, all-in-one solution at an affordable price. I had in the past used FTK, EnCase, Magnet, Cellebrite, X-Ways, Aid-4-Mail, and others while working for the government. I found myself using Paraben's Email Examiner for all of my email needs when provided with an option to use others. Then, when I retired from government, I bought the E3 Universal license to use all of Paraben's tools because of the variety of images it supports.

There are freeware tools that may be cheaper and specialized tools that may be better at one type of device or image, but Paraben's E3 supports them all.

Pros: The support staff has been amazing. I've always been able to talk to the same person, who is very knowledgeable and puts up with my dumb questions.

Cons: I had an issue early on that took weeks to get resolved, stalling my project. I'm not sure it ever did get fully resolved, but I believe a good chunk of that was me trying to use it for a purpose it wasn't fully designed for. If I run into further issues now that I understand it better, I'll update this.

Overall: This is a fairly simple-to-use, robust bit of software with a good video training program in place and a friendly support staff.

Pros: E3 Universal is an exceptional product that combines both robustness and user-friendliness, making it an indispensable cornerstone of my business operations.

Cons: As for any negative aspects, I have absolutely no concerns with neither the product nor the company. My main issue is my inexperience in using the program, and I need more repetition to learn the system.

Overall: I'm happy with the product, and It seems to be a good system, and I would recommend it.
Overall, I have nothing but the utmost admiration, confidence, and trust in this company and its personnel, Kevin has walked me through many steps of using the product. Awesome support! E3 have consistently supported me in expanding my digital forensics expertise and gone above and beyond for my clients. The company has shown themselves to be experts in their field, and their honesty is exemplary. The team at E3 Universal is more like a family than coworkers, which is a testament to their exceptional work culture.

Pros: I think that a HUGE positive of this software is the manual. It is extremely helpful to figure out your next steps, if you are stuck.

Cons: The learning curve. That's the only negative that I have ran into. You need to make the time to figure out how to use the software properly.

Overall: I've had a great experience. When I've been really stuck on something, I can send an email and I get a phone call back in less than 24 hours to help me troubleshoot the issue(s).

Overall: I've been a customer/user of Paraben for several years. I remain impressed with the company's service and advancements of the product each year.

Pros: - Great technical support, extremely helpful, and always available when needed. Technical support sat with me for over an hour, working through an issue. Never felt rushed or that I was a nuisance.

Cons: I don't have any cons with the program. My main issue is my inexperience in using the program, and I need more repetition to learn the system.

Overall: I'm happy with the product, and It seems to be a good system, and I would recommend it.

Again technical support has been amazing.

Pros: - unparalleled support
- broad array of components within the E3:U toolkit
- so many mobile devices supported
- great reporting features

Cons: - as with all forensic software tools, it takes time and practice to learn it well (but that's just a norm; not really a con). with that said, even before becoming an E3 guru, one can become proficient enough to complete full examinations from start to finish.

Overall: - very satisfied with using E3:U as my main investigative solution - it covers so many bases, and the support is outstanding.

Pros: Hadn't worked with the product since a computer crash and new upgrade. Easy to get back into it. When confronted with what turned out to be very tricky technical issues, Kevin walked me through each step (of what turned out to be a 100GB report). Awesome support!

Cons: Did not know the report was going to be so big, and take so long to generate (multiple days of processing). Most of that probably is on me though - should have not done the full report without considering less intense options for data I needed.

Overall: Great!

Pros: E3 Universal is both robust AND user-friendly; it's the cornerstone of my business, crucial & vital.

Cons: I take no issue with any aspect of this product or company.

Overall: I have only the highest praise and complete confidence and trust in this company and everyone there, from the CEO down to the janitor, they've been there for me faithfully to help me to both expand my digital forensics skillset and go above-and-beyond for my clients. They've proven themselves to be experts at their craft and exceedingly honest; you know a company is doing g something right when all of their employees act more like a family than coworkers.

Pros: E3 is user friendly if you have any technically knowledge. Customer service is the by far the best, I have never had such great support with any program before. Quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and overall you could not ask for better support.

Cons: No cons, I have had questions and support responds quickly. Seriously, no cons.

Overall: Overall, I would like to express that Paraben is a great company with a great support staff that can assist with any issues you may come across while using Paraben.

Pros: E3:Universal is dependable, consistent, and produces reports that fit essentially any needs. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tool with ease of use and outstanding support.

Cons: Like any forensic tools, it would be great if the data could be processed faster but reality is that depends on how much data you have to start with.

Overall: Have used this tool since 2015 through all the improvements and will continue to do so. It only gets better!!!

Cons: Not too much to complain about. If Paraben finds issues, they work hard at correcting them. So, all I can say is that if you find an issue, make it known so that the Paraben developers can try to rectify the issue.

Keep this in mind - No one tool can do it all, and no one tool is without an occasional glitch, etc. This is the nature of forensic tools, and technology as a whole.

Overall: We have been a Paraben shop for over five years now and enjoy working with Paraben tools. E3:U really does try to cover all the bases and enables a lot of flexibility in digital investigations. The technical and sales support is superb. The company offers a lot of great training opportunities and has an annual conference (PFIC).

Pros: E3 does everything I need and much more. Customer support is better than I've ever seen at any other company. All of the staff is very supportive and helpful and never treat you like just another customer.

Cons: Very complex program. A longer free trial period would be helpful to learn more about the program before purchasing.

Overall: Very happy with this product. E3 is very complex and takes time to learn but does everything I need & more. Support is very helpful every step of the way.

Cons: Their widely advertised Python SDK is very badly documented. I had to run to support with a zillion questions until I got it running.

Overall: I use the app for different tasks and I am quite pleased with its performance and the range of features. Multiple search parameters and reporting options are really life-savers.

Pros: It is very user friendly and easy to operate. They also have a great technical support staff that helps whenever you run into issues.

Cons: Overall I do not have any cons at this time for the software.
