Clear Estimates

Pros: Very simple to navigate and populate estimates. Great time saver especially when you are always on the go. Excellent customer service. Always very responsive and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this software.

Cons: No cons to report. If anything not having an actual mobile app but you can download to your mobile Home Screen for easy access.

Overall: Often working in the field so this makes giving estimates a snap. Generally can do multiple estimates within an hour or less depending on size of projects. Templates are a game changer!!

Pros: Everything. The best about the product is that if there is something that you do not under stand or need help with, the team, and owner will help you basically immediately. (Yes the get to have a life also they are off for the Sabbath and Saturday.)

Cons: Some additional items need to be added that are very standard in construction. Such as interior caulking of trim per lin. foot. However it is easy to add this yourself as a part that is saved.

Overall: Great Product. Great Customer Service. God Bless. The overall experience has been that I am happy to use this software and continue to use it. The team is consistently adding additional features and items to make this a better program.

Pros: Customer service is exceptional. I am not tech savvy and Michael took extensive time to explain it thoroughly. Every time I contact him he promptly answers my questions. The program has streamlined the estimating process for me.

Cons: I couldn't figure it out by myself and was frustrated, but Michael gave me all the time i need to explain it to me.

Overall: It has cut down my estimating process in half! The more I use it, the better I get at it. I am even able to incorporate my estimate with my own contract.

Pros: Pre loaded bids.
Capability of changing pricing and to change the % of markup on each line item in addition to one click mark up of entire project.
Great search feature as i the addition of alternate bids.
Up to date import of material & labor for any city.
Most cost effective software I have found.

Cons: Can not copy/duplicate a line item in a proposal to the same proposal only other proposals.

Overall: I use this program every day and would recommend it to any entry level to intermittent level company wanting start the bidding process.

Pros: It does almost all the work and thinking for you. If only I could get it to do the physical work for me. I have been lost in the past but Clear Estimates has shown me the easier way. I don’t dread having to do estimates now.

Cons: Some areas that I couldn’t find out if or how to do something. For example I wanted to print out the page that is more descriptive. Like the Projects page where I pick from the part library.

Overall: I love it. It’s easy, affordable and you have tutorials and support at your fingertips if needed. But you won’t need any cause it that easy to use!

Pros: If you want to make your invoice to look professional at a reasonable price, Google Clear Estimates and check out their site. It's simple and allows you to choose from multiple options that show you what others charge and it stays up to date on the price changes of materials.

Cons: It doesn't have an app. You have to Google Clear Estimate every time which isn't bad but an app would be simpler. Maybe they'll read this and fix it.

Overall: Overall I have enjoyed it and I still use them to this day. They also have a free monthly trial and if you don't like them, you just cancel before the monthly trial is up and there is no charge at all.

Pros: Everything about this software is great. I've not found one area that I've said to myself "I wish this was different". They have really done a great job of making estimates simple. Onsite or in the office.

Cons: Nothing. I haven't found anything wrong with the software.

Overall: Whether you're trying to put together something onsite or back at the office, I've not found an easier product than ClearEstimates. I've spent hours and hours pulling up multiple different websites to get various prices and even gotten to the point that I didn't send a couple estimates and lost business because I just didn't have the time to do them. That's no longer an issue. This is a MUST HAVE in the residential remodeling industry.

Pros: Easy to use. I like that there are categories available to help with estimates. You can easily customize the estimate. I like that if I have questions, customer service is there to help.

Cons: Honestly, I don't have any real cons. I just wish I found earlier.

Overall: This website has made it easier for me to create accurate and fast estimates for Roofing and siding.

Pros: Any time there is something I need, I get a VERY QUICK response. They are always helpful and know what's going on.

Cons: There are some kinks to work out here and there, but I don't see it as a problem. They are always working on making things better for the user... always getting better.

Overall: ClearEstimates has been invaluable for my business, even in the short time I have been using it. GREAT!

Pros: Templates and Library base save time and organize job flow. Helps maximize profit by limiting missing line items and having a repeatable process.

Have not needed Change orders yet. So I hope that is good too.
Help with questions has been good. I Have received answers in decent time frame.

Cons: Customer base not importable from phone contacts. Not a deal breaker.
Estimating description line changes and Final draft are not linkable so have to rewrite of copy and paste. Just seems that the language would be the same more often than not. If you could turn on linking these it would be great.

I have enjoyed the Remax Based templates a regional pricing. It is a good place to start. Items can be customized as needed.

Pros: This platform stands out among the many options for its simplicity and ease of use. Clear estimates saves time and money as well as attracting customers with, "Clear" and granular estimates which are transparent and accessible to customers. With the added ability to pay online it is a killer platform for any type of contractor. The online support is quick and clear as well.

Cons: No ACH payments online yet. Would be nice to have more attractive estimates as far as design options go: color, layout, logo placement, etc. But those are minor issues.

Overall: I tried three or four platform all of them integrated other features which I did not find useful. Clear estimates simply makes estimating a clear process.

Pros: Good product. Was using CoConstruct previously and liked it, but the cost was too high for the use I got out of it. Contractor foreman is a much better value for me.

Cons: UI isn't great and there's a steep learning curve. Also have seen several typos.

Overall: I'll continue to use it. Still need to get familiar with some of the features and use them more fully.

Clearent payment service is one of the most expensive out there.
Some new products/materials could be added to rates.

Overall: I have been using Clear Estimates for over 10 years. Its usability and easy has made estimating an enjoyable process.

Cons: No take-off features. This is geared more towards residential than commercial projects, but still very useful compared to the overly priced typical estimate programs.

Pros: I really enjoy that I can get a line by line room by boom estimate. Makes it easy for my customers to compare prices to see that I'm the most affordable. The signature sheet is also so very useful. The estimate macros are very useful and save plenty of time. Affordable rate is a plus.

Cons: I don't like how sometimes it duplicates if I click twice but most likely it's a connection user error.

Overall: I've searched for weeks and tried many brands. The best I can say is don't settle unless you get what you want. I definitely got what I wanted. I get fast customer service help. Easy description training videos and an awesome layout thats fast and easy to use on your estimates.

Pros: It catches all the little details that might be missed in human error. Very easy to use.

Cons: Just wish it has an all in one feature too.

Overall: Love it. Worth every penny and it doesn't cost that much. This is the right product for my company and I am sure it could be the same for your company.
