Contractor Foreman

Pros: Contractor Foreman has been easy to implement for our staff. We used another high-cost cloud-based software prior to this and while the functionality is a little different, Contractor Foreman covers all the essential needs at a fraction of the cost.

Cons: There isn't much not to like - while there is a learning curve to any new software, the tutorials and customer support made the transition simple.

Overall: We are very happy with the change to Contractor Foreman. Overall, it's able to do what we need with less expense and less time in staff training. It's been reliable and any they are always releasing new features. They've even worked with us on creating some custom features for the way our company functions.

Pros: I like the ease of sending purchase orders to vendors. You can easily find products you are looking for within the cost item database. I also like the ease of creating a project from an estimate. You can easily choose items you want on the project, by pulling from the estimate. I also like the availably of accessing the program from any device.

Cons: I am not a fan of the scheduling feature. If there was an option to schedule by crew and have it add to the calendar, it would be much easier to use.

Overall: I think our company learned this program really fast and was easy for our field workers to pick up on. It is really nice to be able to change things last minute if you are out of the office. Overall, it has been a good change to our company.

Pros: Great value and a ton of functionality for the price. Couldn’t ask for more as far as customer service is concerned.

Cons: Takes a little bit of effort in setting up and not widely used in the industry.

Overall: Been fantastic, good customer service and great product. Terrific value, especially when compared to market leaders such as Procore.

Pros: The software is intuitive and easy to use. The support has been amazing and the "Live Chat" feature is really helpful. It has everything we were looking for in a Project Management Software.

Cons: Not much. Would like a way to track Lien Waivers.

Overall: We have been looking for a software to help with communication between the field and the office. We were also looking for a way to keep daily logs and photos. We looked at a lot of software programs to help accomplish this feat, and they all came up short. Contractor Foreman is the best we have found.

Pros: This is a comprehensive software, that my company has integrated into everyday use. The aspect I like the most is that it is always improving. The innovators working in the background at Contractor Foreman are constantly seeking to optimize.

Cons: The program has monthly updates which demonstrates Contractor Foreman's dedication to be the best possible system, however sometimes various items would be updated although (for us) the original format worked well. Many times these were slight adjustments, but sometimes the changes cost us time in working out the new configuration.

Overall: We chose Contractor Foreman because we wanted ONE program that would accomplish the tasks of the many (6 or so) programs we were using. This software helped to consolidate our efforts and bring our company together in regards to standard operating procedures. We are still in the beginning stages of implementation, however we've been able to run many projects through from start to finish and we are very pleased with the plan.

Pros: CF has all the features a customer builder requires for less than a fraction of the price of most of the competitors like builderlink. We use the daily log feature everyday. The gantt chart feature is amazing.

Cons: The updates is very frequent and sometimes will have some glitches. However they do fix it in a timely manner.

Overall: Contractor Forman is the best alternative of Builderlink and gives huge opportunities to small construction company.

Pros: Versatile east to use and cost effective. A very professional look, with templates that put you a cut above the rest. Very effective at managing leads and costs.

Cons: The daily report feature is not in the basic package.

Overall: Extremely good transition for my company to move to Contractor foreman. Very professional Templates.

Pros: The interface and design are easier to work with and we received a lot of value for the price.
The time card feature has been extremely helpful to our business. The scheduling feature has saved me hours of time. The vehicle and daily logs are also a tremendous help to get our business.

Cons: At times the time card feature has issues syncing with quickbooks.

Overall: Contractor Foreman has taken our business to the next level. Saving us time on employee time tracking, project scheduling and estimate turn around with the estimate template feature.

Pros: We use the tool for project planning and time tracking. To be honest we probably under utilize the software because there are so many things it can do. But the time tracking (with GPS location) and the project planning and GANT scheduling is great.

Cons: To be honest there isn’t that much to dislike. If I had to pick one thing it’s that they don’t have an iPad app. Also the pictures on the service tickets could be better.

Overall: Overall I always suggest friends who are contractors and are looking to get more efficient to look into it.

Pros: This has ton of features that can be used with great ease. Easy to learn and the customer support is phenomenal.

Cons: The pages could load faster. When going from page to page it has taken longer than expected.

Overall: Top notch! Great customer service! These guys are the best! Ready to help and don't mind walking you through the the software.

Pros: Software designed by people that have been in the home remodeling/ general contracting business. The software is flexible/customizable so it can be set up the way you run your business not forcing us to try and make the software fit our business. It's updated monthly with new features being added. They take suggestions and allow users to "thumbs up" other user's suggestions. The price is very reasonable compared to competitors.

Cons: Some minor website glitches. Some things could be simplified.

Overall: We were able to adapt the software to our business rather than fitting into the software. The other software was overly complicated. Only allowed 5 active projects. Had to create a project before sending an estimate or invoice. Overpriced. Layout/interface didn't make sense to me. No dashboard. No accounts receivable. No confirmation an estimate or invoice was viewed. And more...

Pros: I like the ease of use and the flexibility of the software. I really like that everything is completely adjustable and if something is missing the development team is really attentive to the suggestions and new options or features. Its always being updated and improved and has a great deal of options and features that are very helpful.

Cons: Sometimes has some bugs but they are addressed and fixed right away so no big deal.

Overall: Great software...the hardest part is to make people use it...Great customer service. Always evolving and advancing and very attentive to the voice of the users.

Pros: The amount of customization is amazing and it's very feature robust. Narrowed it down to Knowify and Contractor Foreman. These two had the most similar features, but Knowify was more than twice as expensive, so it wasn't worth spending that much more for a better UI.

Cons: The proposal template is somewhat limited from a design standpoint.

Pros: I like that everything I need for the company is in one place. It is helpful having the timeclock and QB all integrated.

Cons: It's taking a bit to get used to. I honestly thought I would figure out all the features fairly quickly but it's taking a lot longer inputting what I need.

Overall: So far, so good. Quick response with questions. There is a tab for almost everything I need. I like I can customize it but that's the longest part I think.

Pros: This app is feature packed. It gives me the ability to use time cards, geo fence my employees, raise invoices, estimates and much more while still being able to integrate it with QuickBooks . It is overwhelmingly amazing but the team gives excellent training sessions for free and that helps get to understand the app so quickly. I also love the fact that they keep releasing new features every month. That shows passion and initiative!!

Cons: I wish they could somehow revamp the logo to make it look cooler :D

Overall: Overall, my employees love it. As a manager, I love the app as all my construction niche needs are met in one app. Previously I had to use excel sheets, time card software programs and rely heavily on multiple things but now I find it all in one place.
