About Bromite
Bromite is a Chromium fork with ad blocking and enhanced privacy, to take back your browser. The main goal is to provide a no-clutter browsing experience without privacy-invasive features and with the addition of a fast ad-blocking engine. Minimal UI changes are applied to help curbing the idea of “browser as an advertisement platform”. All patches are published under GNU/GPL v3 to enable other open source projects’ usage. Bromite is only available for Android Lollipop (v5.0, API level 21) and above. Customizable adblock filters via user-provided URL. remove click-tracking and AMP from search results. DNS-over-HTTPS support with any valid IETF DoH endpoint. Always-incognito mode. Disable all field trials permanently, and disable smart search by default, allow web search from incognito mode. Always-visible cookies, javascript and ads site settings. Remove Play integration binary blobs. Use CFI on all architectures except x86.

"Newer Bromite versions are all Incompatible with my Tracfone LG phone that has not-upgradeable Android 7.0 (March, 2017), and the armeabi-v7a architecture." Edited 2022-11-06
Pros: Older Bromite was compatible, fast, secure, and private. For some time between 1-2 years, I used Bromite as my one and only Android web browser, many times a day, every single day.
Cons: Bromite keeps telling me that there is a new version, but new Bromite versions incompatible with the armeabi-v7a architecture that that my phone has!!!
I've wasted LOTS OF TIME SLOWLY DOWNLOADING AND BEING UNABLE TO INSTALL MANY INCOMPATIBLE BROMITE VERSIONS that Bromite keeps recommending that I upgrade to!!!Overall: I used to be really happy with Bromite. Now I'm really mad and disappointed at how much time I've wasted, downloading newer Bromite-recommended versions that wouldn't even install onto my Tracfone LG phone.
