Audience

BatchGeo users include businesses looking to map customer locations, sales territories, or distribution networks, as well as individuals planning road trips or travel itineraries.

About BatchGeo

BatchGeo is a web-based tool that allows users to quickly and easily create maps from location data. With BatchGeo, users can take a list of addresses or coordinates and turn them into a customized map that can be shared with others. The service is often used for business purposes, such as creating a map of customer locations or sales territories, but it can also be used for personal purposes, such as mapping out a road trip or vacation itinerary.

To use BatchGeo, users simply upload a spreadsheet of location data or copy and paste it into the tool. BatchGeo then geocodes the data, meaning it translates the addresses into latitude and longitude coordinates that can be plotted on a map. Users can customize the map by adding labels, markers, and other features, and can then share the map via a link or embed code. BatchGeo also offers features such as the ability to search for locations and calculate distances between points on the map.

    "Easy to use"

    Posted 2023-10-19

Pros: I use it to keep track of my club's membership to show where everyone lives and how much area they are spread over. Lots of fun for our group to see where everyone lives.

Cons: I can't really think of any cons. Nothing I have ever done with the product has ever created any problems.

Overall: Easy to use and fun to see where people are grouped within the club. I will continue using this for as long as I am the membership chairman of the club.

    "Best way to create maps"

    Posted 2023-09-27

Pros: Very simple and straightforward, please don't change. I like how you can number the points on a map.

Cons: Zooming in and out is a bit funky. It's either too zoomed in or too zoomed out.

Overall: Simple easy to use product, hard to find those these days! It's very nice that it is free if you are not using it that much.

"BatchGeo is good for your feet! Saves time and money."

    Posted 2023-09-14

Pros: Easy to upload locations and addresses.
Easy to view output on a map.
    Let's you see outlying locations.

Cons: It would be great if it let you select a group of locations and listed the mileage/distance to reach all of them.

Overall: I use BatchGeo every time I plan a vacation where I want to visit multiple locations or sights over multiple days in the same city (think London, Paris, or New York). It helps me logically group these sights together so I can determine what activities to do each morning and afternoon. It prevents me from criss-crossing all over the place and can easily walk from one place to the next as efficiently as possible. I spend less time on unnecessary transit costs and more time getting to see or do things. My feet thank you for avoiding unnecessary steps!

"Excellent Product but Missing One Thing"

    Posted 2023-08-15

Pros: Extremely easy to use. A beginner is able to use it and get fantastic results. Uploading locations is so fast and super easy!

Cons: There is not an option for route optimization. It lists all the locations but doesn’t tell you the best way to get to them.

Overall: Love the product. Very easy to use. Very helpful. With a route optimization function it would be perfect.

    "Not bad"

    Edited 2023-07-10

Pros: It works exceptionally well. It maps with an excellent level of detail and gives a good amount of control over multiple aspects in labeling.

Cons: The cost is quite prohibitive. It's hard to use casually as a result. Also, it doesn't work as well without a complete address that includes zip codes.

Overall: Overall, it's one of the best resources available for what it does. I have no real complaints at this time.

Pros: The ease of use is by far one of the best features of BatchGeo, especially considering its wide range of functionality.

Cons: The pricing is a bit high. It offers a great range of features, but the price can be difficult to keep up with without company backing.

Overall: Overall, it is an incredibly functional tool that gets the job done quickly and easily. I thoroughly enjoyed it's wide range of sorting and the process could not be any more simplified than it already is.

"Excellent for more than you think"

    Edited 2023-05-24

Pros: Easy to use if you understand how to use a spreadsheet, EASY upload, easy editing. a+ usability! I use it to create block walking lists for political candidates, visiting lists for church, real estate homes mapping. I've used it to map the places I plan to visit during our family vacations. The app is a great addition, you can send your family members a link, and with one click they have access to your map! If you can put info(address) on a spreadsheet, you can map it!

Cons: It would be nice to have the option to change the color of pins on the app. Sometimes when I go on visits, I want to change the color of a pin to remind myself that I have ALREADY been there. It would make it easier to move thru the list. For now I just print the map out and use my pen to cross out pins.

Speaking of which, the last time I used it, it was difficult to print out the map and having it be properly centered it to make sure all of the data comes out. I could not get a good centering and pins would get cut off. Of course the app helps with that, but some people like things printed out.

Overall: I use it for church, politics, personal use, real estate, customer mapping. you name it! It has not only been a really useful tool in my professional life but also in my personal organization and planing!!! Will continue to use it!

    Sharing files (links) with others.
    Grouping thematically.

    Adding density tools (kernel, choropleth)

Overall: Great tool! I appreciate the support and dedication to keeping this free for government entities with limited funding.

Pros: Easy to load data (eg copy paste).
Clear visualizations that are intuitive to navigate.
    Configurability of the visuals.

Cons: Data import limitations; I don’t believe I can always import my large datasets using the web GUI without a premium subscription.

Overall: I use BatchGeo for quick and easy mapping visualizations that are reliable, easy to generate, and configure. I suggest it for small data sets. I never considered for large data sets.

    "Great program for site mapping"

    Posted 2023-05-02

Pros: ITs wonderful to be able to dump a spreadsheet full of address into BatchGeo and get a map for all the locations. Its great that you can sort them by type or state and get colored pins and can see the addresses to plan trips or visits.

Cons: I miss it mapping as soon as i put in the information vs getting a link. Makes a little harder to edit or add / delete sites.

Overall: Great program. I recommend this to my colleagues regularly to plan site visits through out the US. it also helps for territory mapping on a large scale.
