"Easily one of the best 3D apps for Animation" Posted 2025-05-26
Pros: Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worked with a wide range of 3D animation and modeling applications, but I consistently return to Animation:Master. Its intuitive interface and powerful character animation tools make it a standout choice, many of its features are still unmatched in high-end applications or require additional plugins. I particularly enjoy its spline-based patch modeling system, which offers a unique and efficient approach to creating detailed models. When I need to export assets, the resulting topology is clean and production ready, making it easy to integrate my work into other pipelines. Animation:Master continues to be a go-to tool in my workflow, especially when character animation is a priority.
Cons: It is a spline-based application, so it's not easy to import geometry for use when rendering in A:M. However, you can import props that are polygonal objects as well. Its renderer is not as up to date as those in newer applications, but it still gives excellent results once you learn its ins and outs. I have used it's renderer on many projects over the years, from animation to print for book illustrations and package design.
Overall: I'm an artist who enjoys creating 3D illustrations and animations on the computer. I'm not always the most technical artist, so I find a tool like A:M perfect for me. You can grab a 14-day trial at hash.com and see if it's something you'd want to add to your creative toolkit.

"The Worst animation software I have tried so far" Posted 2022-10-16
Pros: Being able to move already created characters. Details on the internet. Tutorials to watch and learn.
Cons: Not getting any support from the software's creator, not being able to download the product more than once, not being able to try it for free first.
Overall: I have used a lot of animation software and I'm afraid that this is the worst that I've encountered. Overall service is very poor and it isn't cheap at £50.00 subscription for the year. There is no update either of the product.
