Geomorph is a height field generator and editor for Linux

A parametric, feature-based, sketch-driven 3D CAD application, built around a geometrical constraint solving engine. Project is in early development stage. The FreeSG library (http://freesg.org/) is required.

After the building of a simple 3D scanner (a webcam and a laser pointer), this software makes it possible to use these elements, with first analyse a video sequence, and second create a cloud of 3D points from the parameters of the system.

A portable, high-level 3D engine with an emphasis on generality. So far it is mainly used in CAD applications in need of geometrical constraint solving and other geometrical methods. FreeSG is designed as an integrable component and not a framework.

Why do Archicad and Revit only share 30 or 40% of the global architectural sofware market ? Maybe because lots of small practices find these software unadapted to the way they work, and to their bank account. I think there's place for an open software that doesn't work like the existing. It will be simple in its tools and processes, and will have infinite capabilities. This will be possible by defining a logical structure. As I am an architect, and I know very little about programming, and wouldn't reach even in 10 years the necessary level to be able to write anything useful for this type of software, my part will be to bring ideas and coherence to this project.
