    Optimizer_sovkov

Constructing and optimizing general mathematical and physical models

We present the package Optimizer, aimed at constructing and optimizing general mathematical models of phenomena of versatile nature. It is written in the Matlab algorithmic language and is executed in the Matlab environment with partial functionality in Octave. The convenient visual interface and the detailed manuals are provided. The main benefit of the package is its capability to construct models of any level of complexity in a block-by-block manner. Elementary model blocks can be collected in libraries, and we have already written many such library programs. Many of these programs are already available along with the main package. ...

    Ultimate Mono2Stereo

    Ultimate Mono2Stereo

A better mono to stereo audio conversion tool

...All this is accomplished by using the ffmpeg crossover audio filter to split the sound into 8 frequency bands. The split points are based on center frequencies of a typical 1/3 octave equalizer. Those 8 bands are then panned in varying degrees to left and right. The varying width of each band is set to achieve the best balance between the left and right channels. Mind you: the goal was not to exactly replicate orchestral seating. It was to best alleviate that "tin can in a hole in the wall" mono sound.

    xfemm

Cross platform electromagnetics finite element analyisis based on FEMM

Cross platform electromagnetics finite element analysis code, with very tight integration with Matlab/Octave. Development of xfemm now takes place on Github here: https://github.com/REOptimize-Systems/xfemm xfemm is a refactoring of the core algorithms of the popular Windows-only FEMM (Finite Element Method Magnetics, www.femm.info) to use only the standard template library and therefore be cross-platform. The codes can be used as a library, standalone executables, or through the advanced Matlab/Octave interface, which uses direct data exchange at the memory level rather than the original FEMM ActiveX or file-based interface, for much improved communication speed. ...
