kvm, or kernel-based virtual machine, is a device driver and userspace component for Linux that utilizes hardware virtualization extensions such as Intel's VT to create virtual machines running on a Linux host.

QToaster is a simple app that executes QEMU with proper command line parameters (a frontend). The features are pretty basic, the executable is small and is a portable application. I needed something to automate QEMU quickly operate fast without having to worry about setting things up. I just wanted to get moving fast. It is designed just for that. It will keep your last machine settings and reload them from the .ini files that it creates. The main purpose I needed this for is Android - using Limbo. If something works on QEMU then it has a good chance of working on Android. You don't need to put QEMU in your environment path, just point to its base folder. My changes to qemu for legacy free GPU passthrough. Only one adapter can use legacy vga regions at same time. This is an attemp to achieve a qemu gpu passthrough without legacy vga accesses to graphics card. Legacy io accesses to vga registers are replaced through MMIO accesses. Legacy accesses to vga memory are replaced through accesses to plain framebuffer. This avoids vga arbiter problems in linux kernel.

This project is used to simulate Bluetooth connections over TCP/IP. The server can run under Windows or Linux however Bluetooth devices can only be simulated on Linux for now. May be used to emulate Bluetooth connections between two virtual machines (e.g. VMware) running Linux. (The server would run on the host system in this case.)
