Annie is a fast, simple and clean video downloader built with Go. Download videos, playlists, and any multimedia resource with an URL. You can download multiple URLs at once and save your files with custom formats and quality presets. Annie is an open source project and built on the top of open-source projects. If you are interested, then you are welcome to contribute. A temporary .download file is kept in the output directory. If annie is ran with the same arguments, then the download progress will resume from the last session. Annie will auto retry when the download failed, you can specify the retry times by -retry option (default is 100). Cookies can be provided to annie with the -c option if they are required for accessing the video. If the -c is not set, annie will try to get the cookies from the current user's Chrome or Edge automatically. To use this feature, you need to shutdown your Chrome or Edge for only one time and let annie launch the browser for you.

AEBL Mobile Media Player, changing how we consume media. AEBL is a media player and a digital media platform in use in the IHDN XPO network media system ( http://www.ihdn.ca/Xpo_VI.html ). AEBL is foremost a mobile media distribution and playback framework. It was created to be the core technology that is used in a television ad insertion and digital sign, and further development has opened up many more applications. It currently is designed to run on a raspberry Pi, although it is being ported to other systems. This tool is a Go-based automation utility that downloads YouTube videos and permanently embeds or “hard-codes” their subtitles (typically English) into MP4 output files. The workflow involves specifying one or more URLs (via a simple “url” text file in each folder) and the program uses youtube-dl to fetch video and subtitle, then ffmpeg to overlay the subtitles onto the video track. The architecture follows a command-pattern setup: tasks implement a common interface and are scheduled and executed with concurrency controls (maximum goroutines customizable). It assumes a Linux environment with SSR proxy support, and requires the user to pre-install youtube-dl and ffmpeg.
