TurboVNC
High-speed, 3D-friendly, TightVNC-compatible remote desktop software
TurboVNC is a high-performance, enterprise-quality version of VNC based on TightVNC, TigerVNC, and X.org. It contains a variant of Tight encoding that is tuned for maximum performance and compression with 3D applications (VirtualGL), video, and other image-intensive workloads. TurboVNC, in combination with VirtualGL, provides a complete solution for remotely displaying 3D applications with interactive performance. TurboVNC's high-speed encoding methods have been adopted by TigerVNC and libvncserver, and TurboVNC is also compatible with any other TightVNC derivative. TurboVNC forked from TightVNC in 2004 and still covers all of the TightVNC 1.3.x features, but TurboVNC contains numerous feature enhancements and bug fixes relative to TightVNC, and it compresses 3D and video workloads much better than TightVNC while using generally only 5-20% of the CPU time of the latter. Using non-default settings, TurboVNC can also be made to compress 2D workloads as "tightly" as TightVNC.">

Slackpkg is a good package manager for slackware that help the user to keep updated its installation. The Slackpkg+ project is a simple plugin that allow the user to add third-party repositories to slackpkg so to use a single tool for keep update the slackware installation and to install non-official packages. Like slackpkg, slackpkg+ leave unchanged the slackware philosophy becouse the user take full control of installation process. Client backup and server backup are included to avoid data loss. With the integrated virtualisation software, m23 can create and manage virtual m23 clients, that run on real m23 clients or the m23 server. Web Gateway Appliance
CacheGuard-OS, amongst other functions, embeds a Web Gateway allowing you to have control over what type of Web content is allowed in your organization, by whom and when. The Web Gateway works as a transparent or explicit Web proxy and blocks malware and other unwanted contents such as ads or adult websites at gateway even in an encrypted format (HTTPS). In addition, its caching capability allows you to cache bandwidth-intensive traffic such as YouTube or Windows updates in order to save your bandwidth. CacheGuard Web Gateway is distributed as an open source OS called CacheGuard-OS that you can install on a virtual or hardware machine of your choice. Once installed on a machine, CacheGuard-OS transforms that machine into a network appliance.
