OpenTeacher is an opensource application that helps you learn a foreign language vocabulary. Just enter some words in your native and foreign language, and OpenTeacher tests you.

HermeneutiX is a tool for diagramming syntactic and semantic structures of complex (not necessarily foreign-language) texts (e.g. bible or other historical excerpts). HermeneutiX is now part of SciToS (the scientific tool set). Starting with version 2.0.0, HermeneutiX can be found on GitHub. HandyVok ist ein Vokabeltrainer für mobile Geräte. Er eignet sich um Vokabeln zwischendurch und unterwegs zu lernen und macht es für den Benutzer leichter sich Vokabeln schnell anzueignen. HandyVok besitzt kein eigenes Wörterbuch. Wenn Sie also Vokabeln lernen möchten, so müssen Sie diese in HandyVok eingeben oder von einer externen Quelle übertragen. Das Übertragen und Verwalten der Vokabeln kann mit Hilfe der Software ListVok bequem erledigt werden. In ListVok können Vokabeln von Hand eingegeben werden. Es können aber auch Vokabeln von anderen Quellen, wie zum Beispiel Vokabellernprogramme, eingelesen werden. Diese Vokabeln können dann auf HandyVok übertragen werden. There are many dictionaries so making another one can look words up would be extremely useless. But what if a dictionary could even teach those words put into it? What do you think?

I heard about a method where you can learn 1000 words in a year with 10 minutes of daily effort. This program does organize, and divide the words in daily chunks. It is a module for Lepton-CMS or WebsiteBaker

JGloss lets you import Japanese text documents and add reading and translation annotations for words, both automatically during import, and manually. It is written in Java.
