GazeBoard EyeTracking using only ordinary webcam. text-entry system that has a restricted on-screen keyboard with ambiguous layout for severely disabled people. The main reason for using such a keyboard layout is that it enables the use of gaze tracking systems with a low spatial resolution (e.g., a web-camera based gaze tracker). There is Dzongkha keyboard for WIndows that allows people who are familiar with Tibetan alphabets order to type Tibetan. For people who are comfortable with English sounds of Tibetan characters, this keyboard offers the convenience to type Tibetan characters based on their English phonetic. There are more than 26 alphabets in Tibetan hence it is not possible to match all alphabets on just the English alphabet keys and some of the Tibetan characters are mapped onto symbol keys. Vowels are entered by "e", "i", "o", "u". By pressing the SHIFT key + alphabet , one can get the alphabet as a Tibetan lower stack character. Less often used characters, such as "laterally flipped" alphabets, and symbols are found using Alt + Ctrl+ [some key]. Special lower stack characters are found by using Alt + Ctrl+ Shift+[some key]. This keyboard has been put to use in digitizing a Tibetan prayer text that about 100 pages long. It is found to be user friendly and easy to use.

OptiKey is an assistive on-screen keyboard designed to bring keyboard control, mouse control and speech to people with motor and speech limitations. Completely free, open source and compatible with low cost eye-tracking devices, it is a great alternative to often expensive and complicated AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) products. It can also be used as an alternative to a physical keyboard or mouse. OptiKey runs on Windows and works right out of the box once an eye-tracking device is installed. Without an eye-tracking device however it can still be used with a mouse or webcam.

QVirtboard (Qt Virtual Keyboard) is a simple on-screen keyboard application, which extends its functionality in order to allow disabled people to control computer environment. This program can be used as a standard point-and-click virtual keyboard, as well as a more complex tool which can cooperate with web cameras or more sophisticated devices.
