Virtual paper folding program
Origami Editor 3D is an advanced paper folding simulator. It uses a what-you-see-is-what-you-get interface and operates with a geometric abstraction of the Yoshizawa-Randlett system. Anything from a simple airplane to John Montroll's omega star can be folded in this editor. Origami files created with the program preserve the entire folding process, and they can be exported as folding diagrams in PDF, animated GIF files, or even as standalone Java programs displaying the origami in a 3D viewer when opened. The main purpose of this program is designing origami, but if you only want to learn how to make some origami figures, there is a set of built-in example files that can help you. Currently, there are 34 example figures available. Please note that this project was created for fun and still is a work in progress. Programming a Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 with Python - The Easy Way
The PS-Drone-API is a full featured SDK, written in and for Python, for Parrot's AR.Drone 2.0. It was designed to be easy to learn, but it offers the full set of the possibilities of the AR.Drone 2.0, including Sensor-Data (aka NavData), Configuration and full Video-support. The video function is not restricted to mere viewing, it is also possible to analyze video images data using OpenCV2. Obviously, the PS-Drone is perfect for teaching purposes; however, even the requirements for professional purposes can be satisfied. PS-Drone comes with a tutorial, explaining its most important commands and the drone's most important sensor values. The examples are easy to understand for people with little programming experience. A full list of commands and a description of all sensor data is available in a detailed documentation. It took several months to create PS-Drone, so it would be nice to get some donations for further development (e.g. Parrot's Bebop) and as a appreciation. -

A single rod model rocket launch control system using the Arduino Nano
This is a single rod model rocket launch control system. The system utilizes the Arduino Uno/Nano to report on local weather conditions (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure). The system also provides a 10-second countdown when the fire button is pressed. The system meets and exceeds the NAR Safety Code standard for model rocket launch systems as it incorporates a removable key to block the flow of power to the launch pad. It incorporates an additional two-button safety system to ensure that a launch is conducted exactly at the desired time. This release marks Version 1 of the system. It is designed to be modular so that it can be easily modified in the future. This project makes a great entry into electronics, Arduino and model rocketry. As such it is ideal for use in schools and youth organizations. -

The event based Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for Arduino
RTuinOS, the event based Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for Arduino, is now hosted at SourceForge. In this revision, 1.0, the event concept has been generalized. Events can now be broadcasted events, semaphores or mutexes. This permits to implement all the usual inter-task communication patterns. Please refer to the user guide and the diverse code samples for details. The second technical change is a complete revision of the makefile. It has been improved in many aspects and it now supports three host operating systems; the RTuinOS samples (as well as your applications) can be built under Linux, Windows and Mac OS. RTuinOS 1.0 is distributed as setup (a ZIP archive), which contains all source files and the complete documentation, also with source files. Building the samples can be started immediately after unzipping and setting a single environment variable. Thank you for your kind interest in RTuinOS. -
