Open Source PHP GIS Software

OpenSeaMap's goal is to add nautical and tourism information a sailor could be interested in to OSM (OpenStreetMap) and to present it in a pleasing way. Those include beacons, buoys and other seamark and port information.

This project provides and open source implementation of HELD and related specifications. A HELD client and Location Information Server are included.

Project consist of 2 parts. One of them is a J2ME app. used to get information such as photo, position, speed & course from GPS and transfers it to the web server. Another one is a web app. which allows to manage and display received data using GoogleMap

ArgooMap is an online, map-based discussion forum, which allows participants to reference their contributions to geographic locations. Different versions of ArguMap and ArgooMap/Argoomap were developed by students supervised by Dr. Claus Rinner at Ryerson University (Toronto, Canada) with partial funding from the GEOIDE Network of Centres of Excellence and DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service. CommonMap is an open source map project, forked from OpenStreetMap by a licence problem. CommonMap needs original softwares tuned for CommonMap. Most of software would be useful for any other open source map projects, too.
