Implementation of Make-A-Video, new SOTA text to video generator
Implementation of Make-A-Video, new SOTA text to video generator from Meta AI, in Pytorch. They combine pseudo-3d convolutions (axial convolutions) and temporal attention and show much better temporal fusion. The pseudo-3d convolutions isn't a new concept. It has been explored before in other contexts, say for protein contact prediction as "dimensional hybrid residual networks". The gist of the paper comes down to, take a SOTA text-to-image model (here they use DALL-E2, but the same learning points would easily apply to Imagen), make a few minor modifications for attention across time and other ways to skimp on the compute cost, do frame interpolation correctly, get a great video model out. Passing in images (if one were to pretrain on images first), both temporal convolution and attention will be automatically skipped. In other words, you can use this straightforwardly in your 2d Unet and then port it over to a 3d Unet once that phase of the training is done. -

This repository now also contains a MIT licensed version of SoundStream. It is also compatible with EnCodec, however, be aware that it has a more restrictive non-commercial license, if you choose to use it. -

Shap-E
Generate 3D objects conditioned on text or images
The shap-e repository provides the official code and model release for Shap-E, a conditional generative model designed to produce 3D assets (implicit functions, meshes, neural radiance fields) from text or image prompts. The model is built with a two-stage architecture: first an encoder that maps existing 3D assets into parameterizations of implicit functions, and then a conditional diffusion model trained on those parameterizations to generate new assets. Because it works at the level of implicit functions, Shap-E can render output both as textured meshes and NeRF-style volumetric renderings. Our current framework is based on NVIDIA's Megatron Language Model and has been augmented with techniques from DeepSpeed as well as some novel optimizations. We aim to make this repo a centralized and accessible place to gather techniques for training large-scale autoregressive language models, and accelerate research into large-scale training. For those looking for a TPU-centric codebase, we recommend Mesh Transformer JAX. If you are not looking to train models with billions of parameters from scratch, this is likely the wrong library to use. For generic inference needs, we recommend you use the Hugging Face transformers library instead which supports GPT-NeoX models. -

EdgeGPT is a reverse-engineered client project that exposed a programmatic interface to Microsoft’s Bing Chat experience (often associated with “Edge” due to access patterns and requirements at the time). It was built to let developers run prompts and retrieve responses through scripts and applications, effectively turning the chat experience into something that could be automated and integrated into tools. The repository gained popularity because it provided a practical way to experiment with Bing Chat programmatically, including CLI-style usage patterns and developer-oriented documentation. As with many reverse-engineered clients, it depended on upstream behavior that could change, and the project’s lifecycle reflected that reality. HyperGAN is currently in pre-release and open beta. Everyone will have different goals when using hypergan. HyperGAN is currently beta. We are still searching for a default cross-data-set configuration. Each of the examples supports search. Automated search can help find good configurations. If you are unsure, you can start with the 2d-distribution.py. Check out random_search.py for possibilities, you'll likely want to modify it. The examples are capable of (sometimes) finding a good trainer, like 2d-distribution. Mixing and matching components seems to work. -

They are basically using text-conditioned AudioLM, but surprisingly with the embeddings from a text-audio contrastive learned model named MuLan. MuLan is what will be built out in this repository, with AudioLM modified from the other repository to support the music generation needs here. -

Point-E
Point cloud diffusion for 3D model synthesis
point-e is the official repository for Point-E, a generative model developed by OpenAI that produces 3D point clouds from textual (or image) prompts. Its principal advantage is speed: it can generate 3D assets in just 1–2 minutes on a single GPU, which is significantly faster than many competing text-to-3D models. The model works via a two-stage diffusion approach: first, it uses a text → image diffusion network to produce a synthetic 2D view consistent with the prompt; then a second diffusion model converts that image into a 3D point cloud. While it does not match the fine detail of some slower methods, the tradeoff in speed makes it practical for prototyping and interactive 3D generation. The repository includes inference scripts, utilities for converting point clouds to meshes (e.g. via signed distance function regression), sample notebooks, and weight checkpoints. It also provides documentation on limitations, usage instructions, and example outputs.
