F´ (or F Prime) is a software framework for the rapid development and deployment of embedded systems and spaceflight applications. Originally developed at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, F´ is open-source software that has been successfully deployed for several space applications. Squirrel
An installation and update framework for Windows desktop apps
Squirrel is both a set of tools and a library, to completely manage both installation and updating your Desktop Windows application, written in either C# or any other language (i.e., Squirrel can manage native C++ applications). Squirrel uses NuGet packages to create installation and update packages, which means that you probably already know most of what you need to create an installer. Windows apps should be as fast and as easy to install and update as apps like Google Chrome. From an app developer's side, it should be really straightforward to create an installer for my app, and publish updates to it, without having to jump through insane hoops. AWS IoT Device Shadow library
Client library for using AWS IoT Shadow service on embedded devices
The AWS IoT Device Shadow library enables you to store and retrieve the current state (the “shadow”) of every registered device. The device’s shadow is a persistent, virtual representation of your device that you can interact with from AWS IoT Core even if the device is offline. The device state is captured as its “shadow” within a JSON document. The device can send commands over MQTT to get, update and delete its latest state as well as receive notifications over MQTT about changes in its state. Each device’s shadow is uniquely identified by the name of the corresponding “thing”, a representation of a specific device or logical entity on the AWS Cloud. An Arduino for ESP8266 / ESP32 implementation of Homie, an MQTT convention for the IoT. This branch of Homie for ESP8266 implements Homie 3.0.1 and adds support for ESP32. PlatformIO is an open-source ecosystem for IoT development with the cross-platform build system, library manager and full support for Espressif ESP8266 development. It works on the popular host OS, Mac OS X, Windows, Linux 32/64, Linux ARM (like Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, CubieBoard). Available in the PlatformIO registry. AWS IoT Device Defender Library
Client library for using AWS IoT Defender service on embedded devices
The Device Defender library enables you to send device metrics to the AWS IoT Device Defender Service. This library also supports custom metrics, a feature that helps you monitor operational health metrics that are unique to your fleet or use case. For example, you can define a new metric to monitor the memory usage or CPU usage on your devices. This library has no dependencies on any additional libraries other than the standard C library, and therefore, can be used with any MQTT client library. This library is distributed under the MIT Open Source License. This library has gone through code quality checks including verification that no function has a GNU Complexity score over 8, and checks against deviations from mandatory rules in the MISRA coding standard. Deviations from the MISRA C:2012 guidelines are documented under MISRA Deviations. This library has also undergone static code analysis using Coverity static analysis. -

MMKV for Android is an efficient, small mobile key-value storage framework developed by WeChat. Works on Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and POSIX. Efficient. MMKV uses mmap to keep memory synced with file, and protobuf to encode/decode values, making the most of Android to achieve best performance. MMKV supports concurrent read-read and read-write access between processes. Easy-to-use. You can use MMKV as you go. All changes are saved immediately, no sync, no apply calls needed. MMKV contains process locks, encode/decode helpers and mmap logics and nothing more. It's really tidy. MMKV adds about 50K per architecture on App size, and much less when zipped (apk). MMKV is published under the BSD 3-Clause license. Starting from v1.2.8, MMKV has been migrated to Maven Central. Older versions (<= v1.2.7) are still available on JCenter. -

Fabio
Consul Load-Balancing made simple
Fabio is an HTTP and TCP reverse proxy that configures itself with data from Consul. Traditional load balancers and reverse proxies need to be configured with a config file. The configuration contains the hostnames and paths the proxy is forwarding to upstream services. This process can be automated with tools like consul-template that generate config files and trigger a reload. Fabio works differently since it updates its routing table directly from the data stored in Consul as soon as there is a change and without restart or reloading. When you register a service in Consul all you need to add is a tag that announces the paths the upstream service accepts, e.g. urlprefix-/user or urlprefix-/order and fabio will do the rest. Fabio was developed and maintained by Frank Schröder through January, 2020. Since that date primary maintenance has been the responsibility of ENA and the great community of users. -

Automatically set GOMAXPROCS to match Linux container CPU quota. All APIs are finalized, and no breaking changes will be made in the 1.x series of releases. Users of semver-aware dependency management systems should pin automaxprocs to ^1. When GOMAXPROCS is increased above the CPU quota, we see P50 decrease slightly but see significant increases to P99. We also see that the total RPS handled also decreases. Data was measured from Uber's internal load balancer. We ran the load balancer with 200% CPU quota (i.e., 2 cores). -
