Dompdf
HTML to PDF converter for PHP
dompdf is an HTML to PDF converter. At its heart, dompdf is (mostly) a CSS 2.1 compliant HTML layout and rendering engine written in PHP. It is a style-driven renderer, it will download and read external stylesheets, inline style tags, and the style attributes of individual HTML elements. It also supports most presentational HTML attributes. PDF rendering is currently provided either by PDFLib or by a bundled version the R&OS CPDF class written by Wayne Munro. (Some important changes have been made to the R&OS class, however). In order to use PDFLib with dompdf, the PDFLib PECL extension is required. Using PDFLib improves performance and reduces the memory requirements of dompdf somewhat, while the R&OS CPDF class, though slightly slower, eliminates any dependencies on external PDF libraries. -

PHP library generating PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML
mPDF is a PHP library that generates PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files ‘on-the-fly’ from his website, handling different languages. It is slower than the original scripts e.g. HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but support for CSS styles etc. and has been much enhanced. Supports almost all languages including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew), and CJK (Chinese-Japanese-Korean). Nested block-level elements (e.g. P, DIV) including margins, borders, padding, line height, background colors, etc. Right-to-left languages are supported, with automatic detection of RTL characters within a document. Transposes tables, lists, text justification, and table cell alignment, as well as a full-text reversal for RTL characters. Automatically detects non-RTL characters and displays these in the original order. -

All sites owned by EU citizens or targeted towards EU citizens must comply to a crazy EU law. This law requires a dialog to be displayed to inform the users of your websites how cookies are being used. You can read more info on the legislation on the site of the European Commission. The newest Laravel package made by my colleagues at Spatie and myself makes your app compliant with that law. When the user clicks "Allow cookies" a laravel_cookie_consent cookie will be set and the dialog will be removed from the DOM. On the next request Laravel will notice that the laravel_cookie_consent has been set and will not display the dialog again. The legislation is pretty very vague on how to display the warning, which texts are necessary, and what options you need to provide. This package will go a long way towards compliance, but if you want to be 100% sure that your website is ok, you should consult a legal expert. -

DOM loading loads all the documents, making it easy to navigate and parse, and as such provides maximum flexibility for developers. Thus, when it comes to big files, callbacks will be executed meanwhile file is downloading and will be much more efficient as far as memory is concerned. -

XPath expressions are incredibly flexible, so there is almost always an XPath expression that will find the element you need. Unfortunately, they can also become very complicated, and the learning curve is steep. Even common operations (such as finding an element with a particular class) can require long and unwieldy expressions. CSS selectors are less powerful than XPath, but far easier to write, read and understand. Since they are less powerful, almost all CSS selectors can be converted to an XPath equivalent. This XPath expression can then be used with other functions and classes that use XPath to find elements in a document. Not all CSS selectors can be converted to XPath equivalents. There are several CSS selectors that only make sense in the context of a web-browser. Pseudo-elements (:before, :after, :first-line, :first-letter) are not supported because they select portions of text rather than elements. -
