This file integrity checker uses Alternate Data Streams to store the hashes of your files. So, it only works on NTFS volumes. With that, you can rename, copy or move your files (to another NTFS volume) without losing the hashes, and without needing to do anything else. The Whirlpool algorithm is a strong 512-bit hash function. This tool uses several optimized implementations with SSE4.1 or SSE2 instructions when available. Each folder is recursively processed. I have written this short script to correct vowel mutation (Umlaut) errors in filenames. This errors typically occur when you copy files to a system with UTF-8 charset from a system using another charset. One typical case is when a Windows-Client transfers files via FTP on a server using UTF-8. Such errors can't be corrected using convmv. -

NOTE: For full functionality (reading partitions inside disk images, for example), the project "procb" is also required. There has been a tremendous amount of work done on this project (years, including lots of new filetypes) that has yet to be well-tested, cleaned up and uploaded, so please be patient and occasionally check back. NOTE: command line syntax and parameters have changed in newer versions significantly, to incorporate easy searches and easier database (flat file) creation.
