Xschem is a schematic capture program, it allows to create a hierarchical representation of circuits with a top down approach . By focusing on interconnections, hierarchy and properties a complex system (IC) can be described in terms of simpler building blocks. A VHDL, Verilog or Spice netlist can be generated from the drawn schematic, allowing the simulation of the circuit. Key feature of the program is its drawing engine written in C and using directly the Xlib drawing primitives; this gives top speed performance, even on very big circuits. I have succesfully managed to simulate complete VLSI projects with this tool, both digital (Verilog / VHDL) and analog (Spice). Schematics can be printed in SVG, PNG, PDF, formats. XSCHEM runs on Linux or other Unix-likes with Xorg server and on Windows with the Cygwin layer and required tools installed. Can be found also on github: https://github.com/StefanSchippers/xschem

The gawkextlib project provides several extension libraries for gawk (GNU AWK), as well as libgawkextlib containing some APIs that are useful for building gawk extension libraries. These libraries enable gawk to process XML data, interact with a PostgreSQL database, use the GD graphics library, and perform unlimited precision MPFR calculations. These extensions work with GNU AWK version 4.1.1 or later. We have created a framework for packaging gawk extensions, and we welcome further contributions. Recent additions include haru, redis, and select for I/O multiplexing.

Statifier is a tool for creating portable self-containing Linux executable. Statifier create from dynamically linked executable and all it's libraries (and all LD_PRELOAD libraries, if any) one file. This file can be copied and run on another machine without need to drag all libraries

m23 is a free software distribution system (license: GPL), that installs (via network, starting with partitioning and formatting) and administrates (updates, adds / removes software, adds / removes scripts) clients with Debian, (X/K)Ubuntu and LinuxMint. It is used for deployment of Linux clients in schools, institutions and enterprises. The m23 server is controlled via a web interface. A new m23 client can be installed easily in only three steps. Group functions and mass installation tools make managing a vast number of clients comfortable. The integration of existing clients (with .deb-based distributions) into the system is possible, too. Client backup and server backup are included to avoid data loss. With the integrated virtualisation software, m23 can create and manage virtual m23 clients, that run on real m23 clients or the m23 server. Scripts and software packages (for installation on clients) can be created directly from the m23 web interface.

basE91 is an advanced method for encoding binary data as ASCII characters. It is similar to UUencode or base64, but is more efficient. The overhead produced by basE91 depends on the input data. It amounts at most to 23% and can range down to 14%.

This is a C library to check the validity of German and Austrian Bank Account Numbers. All currently defined test methods by Deutsche Bundesbank (Dec 2017: 00 to E4) are implemented. Modules for AWK, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, C#.net and VB.net are included too. The package includes also an IBAN converter to generate (german) IBANs and BICs from account data. All currently defined IBAN rules by Deutsche Bundesbank are implemented (Dec 2017: 57 rules) and tested against independent solutions.

RunAWK is a small wrapper for AWK interpreter that helps write standalone programs in AWK. It provides support for modules and other powerful features. It comes with dozens of modules which provide efficient means for handling command line options, powerful functions for manipulating strings and arrays as well as sorting, mathematical, tmpfile, braceexpand functions and a lot of others.

This software accompanies the textbook "Quantum Wells, Wires and Dots" (4th Edition), Paul Harrison and Alex Valavanis, Wiley, Chichester (2015). It is adapted (by the same authors) from code that was originally supplied on a CD with the first edition of the book [1] and is now made available under the GPL3 license. In brief, we encourage everyone to use the software in your studies and research, to study and modify the source-code and to share it widely. However, you are not permitted to include any of our code in a closed-source project.

LMDBG is a set of small utilities for collecting and analysing logs of malloc(3), calloc(3), realloc(3), memalign(3), posix_memalign(3) and free(3) functions.
