The gawkextlib project provides several extension libraries for gawk (GNU AWK), as well as libgawkextlib containing some APIs that are useful for building gawk extension libraries. These libraries enable gawk to process XML data, interact with a PostgreSQL database, use the GD graphics library, and perform unlimited precision MPFR calculations. These extensions work with GNU AWK version 4.1.1 or later. We have created a framework for packaging gawk extensions, and we welcome further contributions. Recent additions include haru, redis, and select for I/O multiplexing.

basE91 is an advanced method for encoding binary data as ASCII characters. It is similar to UUencode or base64, but is more efficient. The overhead produced by basE91 depends on the input data. It amounts at most to 23% and can range down to 14%.

This is a C library to check the validity of German and Austrian Bank Account Numbers. All currently defined test methods by Deutsche Bundesbank (Dec 2017: 00 to E4) are implemented. Modules for AWK, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, C#.net and VB.net are included too. The package includes also an IBAN converter to generate (german) IBANs and BICs from account data. All currently defined IBAN rules by Deutsche Bundesbank are implemented (Dec 2017: 57 rules) and tested against independent solutions.

AllCheckSumer is a handy tool for computer forensics and is helpful for investigators to search throughout a computer’s file system for a bad hash specified by the investigator. The tool will search throughout a location, specified by the investigator. It can be either an entire file system or a specific folder, and create a hash set with the following file signature algorithms: • MD5 (Message-Digest Algorithm v. 5) • SHA-1 (Secure Hash Algorithm v. 1) • CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

Blis is a CGI based Content Management System, written in awk, light and very fast. It uses plain text files written in wiki-style syntax as page sources, parses them, applies a selectable template and presents the results to the reader as web content.
