    PeerGuardian

PeerGuardian - a privacy oriented firewall application

PeerGuardian is a privacy oriented firewall application. It blocks connections to and from hosts specified in huge blocklists (thousands or millions of IP ranges). Its origin seeds in targeting aggressive IPs while you use P2P. PeerGuardian Linux: Not developed actively anymore. Team might still be around. Some unreleased changes on git. Outdated technology. Peerguardian OS X: Not developed anymore. We've lost contact with the OS X developer. PeerGuardian Windows: Not developed anymore. It's highly recommended to use PeerBlock instead, which is a continuation of PeerGuardian's development in Windows, with bug fixes and support for Windows Vista and Windows 7. Collaboration with peerblock.com is welcome! PeerGuardian is an open project. Not only is its source code open for you to read, use, and modify - but the project is open for you to join and contribute in any form (code, documentation, bug reports, web and support).

    PJON

    PJON

    Experimental, arduino-compatible, multi-master, multi-media network

PJON® (Padded Jittering Operative Network) is an experimental, Arduino-compatible, multi-master, multi-media, software-defined network protocol that can be easily cross-compiled on many microcontrollers and real-time operative systems like ATtiny, ATmega, SAMD, ESP8266, ESP32, STM32, Teensy, Raspberry Pi, Zephyr, Linux, Windows x86, Apple and Android. PJON operates on a wide range of media, data links and existing protocols like PJDL, PJDLR, PJDLS, Serial, RS485, USB, ASK/FSK, LoRa, UDP, TCP, MQTT and ESPNOW. PJON is an experimental network protocol stack crafted in 10 years of research and experimentation. It was originally developed as an open-source alternative to i2c and 1-Wire but during development, its scope and features have been extended to cover use cases where IP is generally applied. PJON has been engineered to have a variable footprint (4.2-8.2 kB program memory) and overhead (5-35 bytes per packet) depending on its configuration.

    WiFiManager

    WiFiManager

WiFi Connection manager with web captive portal

Espressif ESPx WiFi Connection manager with fallback web configuration portal. The configuration portal is of the captive variety, so on various devices it will present the configuration dialogue as soon as you connect to the created access point. When your ESP starts up, it sets it up in Station mode and tries to connect to a previously saved Access Point. If this is unsuccessful (or no previous network saved) it moves the ESP into Access Point mode and spins up a DNS and WebServer (default ip 192.168.4.1). Using any wifi enabled device with a browser (computer, phone, tablet) connect to the newly created Access Point. Because of the Captive Portal and the DNS server you will either get a 'Join to network' type of popup or get any domain you try to access redirected to the configuration portal. ESP will try to connect. If successful, it relinquishes control back to your app. If not, reconnect to AP and reconfigure.

    TCNOpen

    TCNOpen

    Components for IEC61375 standardised communication

TCNOpen is an open source initiative which the partner railway industries created with the aim to build in collaboration some key parts of new or upcoming railway standards, commonly known under the name TCN. TCN (Train Communication Network) is a series of international standards (IEC61375) developed by Working Group 43 of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), specifying a communication system for the data communication within and between vehicles of a train. It is currently in use on many thousands of trains in the world in order to allow electronic devices to exchange information while operating aboard the same train. TCNOpen follows the Open Source scheme, as the software is jointly developed by participating companies, according to their role, so as to achieve cheaper, quicker and better quality results.
