Manchmal kann kein GPS-Signal empfangen werden. Es wäre daher hilfreich, wenn man die Daten bei der Sichtung der Bilder ergänzen oder korrigieren kann. Dies wird durch das Programm unterstützt. Das Programm scannt zunächst die Bilder in einem Verzeichnis und ermittelt fehlende Daten oder Ungereimtheiten in den Daten. Per Drag&Drop können die Koordinaten oder die GPS-Zeit korrigiert oder ergänzt werden. Zur Unterstützung wird auf GoogleMaps zurückgegriffen. Erweiterungen: Umbenennen und Tracken ohne Installation ausführbar unter Windows XP, 7 und 8. German and English is supported. Geeqie is a lightweight image viewer. It was forked from GQview. The development is focused on features for photo collection maintenance: raw format, Exif/IPTC/XMP metadata and integration with programs like UFraw, ImageMagick, Gimp, gPhoto or ExifTo The current development and project can be found on http://www.geeqie.org/. Image MetaWriter is a batch processing Linux command-line program that uses ExifTool to embed metadata into many images at once. The requirements are Bash, Awk, & ExifTool. With Image MetaWriter, you can tag entire albums of images with your metadata, & add unique titles & comments to each image, all at once. Image MetaWriter also supports Creative Commons (CC) licensing. You can embed your CC license into your images along with your metadata simultaneously. This makes it really convenient to upload entire albums to many social media & photo sharing sites, such as Facebook & Google Photos. When your photos have the metadata embedded into them, the sites will read all of it & apply it accordingly. You do not have to type out comments for every single image every time you upload your album to a different site. JGeotagger is a Java / Swing application which uses a GPX file to geotag JPG photos

The purpose of this application is to be able to batch rename digital camera images. The rename process make use of the emebedded meta data in each file. The structure of the new name is defined by a template which make use of meta data variables

A Lightroom3 Plugin that compares the development parameters of two different pictures. A comparison between selected picture and a reference preset is possible, too. Similarities are not shown by design.

MassGeotagger lets you select a photo, a photo folder or a folder tree and update the latitude and longitude coordinates in the EXIF data of the selected photos. To get the GPS coordinates, the method of choice is to select one or several GPX files and set the difference of time between APN time saved in EXIF data and GPS time. However other strategies to match JPG and GPS coordinates are available : by selecting one of the GPX waypoint, by selecting a point on the map or by user input. MassGeotagger can also be used to view the location of geotagged photos on a map.

The aim of this project is to read meta data from pictures such as JPG. But, instead of other freeware all meta data will be described into Spring files (XML files).
