MegaMek is a networked Java clone of BattleTech, a turn-based sci-fi boardgame for 2+ players. Fight using giant robots, tanks, and/or infantry on a hex-based map. Development currently occurs on GitHub (see https://github.com/MegaMek). This SF page remains as a mirror and archive of the old issue trackers. The trackers are currently locked and new issues should be created on the GitHub page.

Colossus is a Java clone of the boardgame Titan, a turn-based fantasy wargame for 2-6 players. Each player moves stacks of creatures around a strategic board, recruiting more creatures and fighting enemy stacks on tactical maps.

Gametable (also known as GamenianTabele), is a Java-based shared whiteboard and chat client. It is designed primarily to provide an online tabletop interface. Draw directly, or place images, that all connected users can see and manipulate. RNG/dice functions supported, infinite table size, a few Z-order layers, pointer tools visible to everyone connected, stand along host server, and basic tagging and drawing tools. It specializes in simplicity, virtually no learning curve, and ease of use. Shared image files auto-propagate to other users (and only images, no other file type will propagate), which allow them to use a local cache to view shared spaces.

MechFight is a new implementation of the Amigagame Mechforce. In this tactical game groups of warriors fight with heavy machines (up to 100 tons), until defeat or even death in a thermonuclear explosion of their engines.

We are going to teach eachother how to build AI and new kinds of game objects in this network using intuitive dragAndDrop. Its going to be a space for experimenting with fun and useful tools in new ways. Version 0.8.0 has some advanced components that will be working soon. The plan is a massively multiplayer space where we design, evolve, and play with game objects and do AI research together which controls those game objects along with directly playing the games. The main data format is, from xorlisp which is also in progress, immutable binary forest nodes, so if millions of people build that together nobody can damage or change anyone else's data since its all constant. You dont change variables. You create new data that points at existing constant data, as deep as you need it. I have mindmap lists, definitions, and 2 editable properties working that way with 2 kinds of event listeners that work locally. Its not a networked system yet, but the datastructs are ready to scale with it.

Bagh bandi is a two-player abstract strategy board game from Lower Bengal, India. It is a hunt game. It uses an Alquerque board, and therefore, Bagh bandi is specifically a tiger hunt game (or tiger game). There are two tigers attempting to elude and capture as many goats while the goats are attempting to surround and trap the tigers. An interesting and uncommon feature in this game is that the goats are piled up on four points of the board at the beginning of the game. Piling up pieces is an unusual feature in hunt games or any board game in general. The only other hunt game that uses this feature is Sher-bakar, a game closely related to Bagh bandi.

Battlelance is a turn based multiplayer RPG game based on DnD and the likes. You can control a wizard, fighter, thief, cleric or a whole party of these and pit them against a dungeon master or other characters/parties. You can also take up the role as dungeon master and spawn enemies, traps and do other nasty tricks to make life of the characters as difficult as possible.
