In 2001 he got his first gig. By mid 2002 he was playing between 2-7 gigs a weekend at all major London venues: Camden Palace, Fridge, The Mass, Scala, Brixton Academy(Now O2 Academy), The Cross, Turnmills and The End to name a few. Every major promotion was now booking Snake: Frantic, Fevah, Riot, Tasty, Heat and the London Calling DJ exhibition. Snake was also one of the Guest DJ s alongside DJ Astrid (Netherlands #1 female DJ) at Cosmic Waves in Norway. At the time Snake he was mostly playing hard dance and trance alongside names like Lisa Lashes, Eddie Halliwell, Paul Van Dyk, BK, Nick Sentience, K90, Lab 4, Ian Betts, Andy Farley, Phil Reynolds, Steve Hill, James Lawson, Ali Wilson, Matt Smallwood Jon Rundell and many more. In 2003 Snake was playing for events like the legendary Gallery alongside Nick Warren, M.I.K.E, Randy Katana and Riley & Durrant. Snake came back to SA in 2004 but was back in 2005 where a comeback event was held in his honour at Pacha London with the event called: Snake Eyes . From 2005 he took house music much more serious and before no time he was playing house at most major venues: The White House, Scala, The End, Turnmills, London Calling (DJ exhibition @ Earls Court Plaza) and more. He played alongside UK house legends like, Tom Neville, Cheshire Cats, Tom Real, Graeme Lloyd, Marcus Wallis, Ryan Briggs (MOS/Pascha), Lizzie Curious and the legend himself Tall Pall. SA venues: Kalahari Klik, Vacca Matta, Chrome, Karma Lounge, Bang Bang Club, Guru Lounge, Bambu, Cu De Ta, China White Shimmy Beach club and Club 89. Friendz SA boatparties Hartebeespoort dam, TAU, Suikerbossie, Wonderland In SA Snake played alongside names like Josh Borrill, Kingsize, Leyton Lea, Nick Supply, Dave Lea Thomas, Sascha Martinengo, Ian F, Crazy Whiteboy Coasta K, Ryan Murgatroyd, Stereologic, Steph Deysel, Chris Sen, Mark Stent, DJ Fresh, Craig Da Sousa, Dino Moran and more. Snake also played the closing set alongside Brent Thought at the Gatecrasher Paul van Dyk event at Ostrich farm. Snake is a DJ with excellent ability and technique. In November 2011 Snake became a partner of Bounce Productions with huge success with their day time Summer Beach Party at Beach Bar (Mykonos) pulling between 600 and a 1300 people to every party. In 2012 Snake had his first tour to Ibiza where he played at Kanya, Beah Palace and Hotel Esvive representing Heat UK and Luckylife Ibiza. In 2014 he returned to Europe to play Holland and Ibiza. In Ibiza playing at Bora Bora and representing Luckylife Ibiza on the decks for the legendary Circ de la Nuit boat parties. In Holland he opened for Quintino at club Envy. Recent big parties & events: Kalmer Karma NYE, Windtown rooftop sessions with Len10 (Holland) and Giani Arragno (Pacha Ibiza), Café Chic and Afrikaburn 2015/16/17. Snake collaborated with some of the dance scene’s biggest producers like DMF (Italy/UK), Alf Bamford aka Technikal (UK), Trance maestro Ali Wilson (UK) with their track reaching #6 in the top 20UK dance charts in MixMag. Currently he is also working on a collaboration album with dutch dj/producer Santoz Sambuka. He has worked with some of South Africa s biggest talents, Chris Sen and Khubu. Snake is the co-creator of The Dragon,also known as The Tankwa Draak at Afrikaburn. A mutant vehicle with a just under 30 000 watt soundsystem and a dj booth of dreams.
