The A-side, “Loosejaw,” moves like a deep tide, heady and pressure-locked, threaded with the boundary-pushing bass style the West coast loves. Flip to the B-side and “Melonboat” splashes in as a rigid, mossy weapon, its patterns shifting and sliding until they find perfect lock. Together, the tracks feel like a map of the region’s sound, damp and expansive and restless, a perfect A/B for the basements, forest raves, and shadowed coasts that give the Pacific Northwest its rain-soaked pulse.
