Its backbone draws from hip-hop and the Bristol sound, with clear fingerprints of the ‘90s: dark, psychedelic, downtempo, electronic. That era was foundational for me—a time when sharp, bold sounds collided like they did in the ‘70s. I wanted to bring that spirit back.
