Venezuelan - Nort American, Miami based artist Jose Antonio Blanco Dr. Muusica AKA Muu Blanco, is a music producer and interdisciplinary artist. Blanco grew up in Venezuela, where he attended XXX school. In the 90’s he begins his work as an artist in the caraqueña scene. He always pursued many different creative projects: as a DJ he participated in the groundbreaking Venezuelan rave scene as well as being featured in the FIA hall of young artists in Caracas. In the early 2000’s he starts experimenting with other disciplines of the arts, he’s responsible for concept and music production for a play staged by Lupe Gherenbeck, later in 2010 he repeats this experience and this time he produces A Summers Night Dream at the Extreme Theater CCs. As a radio host of several music shows in the span of two decades, Muu is responsible for introducing Venezuelan audiences to different strains of world music, his influence is still felt by a generation of people that grew up during the ’90s and 2000s Among his more corporate side, as a music producer, he’s worked with companies like SONY, KENT, and Token.com Muu is known for his collabs with different bands, collectives, and artists all over the world. More recently he released 5 albums, 3 EP’s, 11 Singles was released worldwide in September 2023.
